I shoot carbons and wood, prefer wood, carbons do hold up better.

I'll say carbon with the caveat that the carbon in question is Beaman MFX, that stuff is as tough as nails.

I shoot aluminum xx75 Autumn Orange out of recurves and semi compressed and tapered POC out of my Shrews...........Don't care for Carbon.
