I've tried 'em all, but it's wood for me. That said, I've been messing around with cane a bit, jury is still out.

Carbon.......is there anything else?

Paul WA

I love building woodies but shoot carbon for the durability ...PR

HOWITZER

gotta go carbon...with a splash of woody thrown in once in awhile.

Other. Cain here, also wood.
Been There, Done That, Still Plowin.
Cane and Magnolia tend to make good arrow.
Hike naked in the backwoods.

Mack_S

I like the carbons for the duribality and they shoot great out of my bow too.

Carbons. Beman MFX, they're very durable and shoot well out of my Groves.

Encino Man

I shoot woodies and carbon. I like the durability of carbon but nothing beats the feel of some good woodies.

I love aluminum arrows but recently switched to carbon because I need to have enough confidence in my arrows to know that they won't bend on impact.

I love the weight of an aluminum arrow but after bending 6 of them in league this winter, I can't afford it anymore lol.

I now shoot a Heritage 250 which isn't far off in weight from my 2117s and they are amazing. I haven't shattered one yet.

Ultimately I would rather have them break or be perfectly straight than have the possibility of a bend.

I shoot mostly carbon these days, but still use some aluminum, POC, dogwood, rivercane and other natural materials as well.

I voted for carbon.  Even though I shoot all 3, carbon is really my go to.

Arrow4Christ

I love wood  :)  With the right building techniques I see no disadvantage to other materials.

Does cane or laminated wood still count as wood ? Or would that be other?
Measure twice, cut once, then beat it to fit

rickshot

Aluminums are my usual high-volume go to shooters...but woods are my favorite and saved for the more memorable shooting. I've had the Autumn Orange fever since they first came out, so I still don't have enough, but they count with hundreds of other aluminums I have and many dozens of cedars. Just a happy camper, here. Rick.

Sam McMichael

Almost, but not quite, exclusively wood. Every once in a while I shoot aluminum.

I've shot them all but I like aluminums best.To me they are more forgiving and easer to tune

barley40

Sometimes even tho we tred the trad road we stray off the path. Wood for me, even though I have all kinds in my arrow rack, it's usually wood shafts in my quiver.

poison arrow

I wanted to see the results so I voted {other} on account of my new fangled fiberglass arrows. I originally made a few for my old Fathers light weight bow thinking they could not be tossed out of higher poundage bows. I was wrong and wrong about the poll. I would have guessed wood would come in on top. Wood, carbon, aluminum or fiberglass, just depends on what I feel like slinging.
