Hey Mike,If you ever come across one of Pete George's brochures in your search, let me know and I'll buy it off you. I'd like to put one up over my bow rack. It'll be 100% Timberlines hanging on it pretty soon.

mikebiz

Sure thing Nick.  Have you ever seen a Timberline brochure?  I'm wondering if Pete ever had a brochure made at all.  If you (or anyone else) finds an American LongBow brochure let me know.

After posting the Schulz ad I went out and shot "Young Eagle".  It's a really nice bow.  I would love to have the grip width slimmed down and reduced in depth a bit, but I'm very reluctant to do it.  It's just a little bigger than my small hands like.

Yep,Pete had a brochure for $1
I had a Schulz brochure from the 80's.I might have thrown it away years ago.If I do find it,it's yours. I found an old Gary Sentman brochure in my gunsafe last year. I gave it to a guy on here that collects Gary's bows.

If you or I find one I'll bet it costs more than a buck these days.  Let me know if you find that Schulz brochure.  I had an HHA brochure from the late '80s but I can't find it anywhere.  I never throw anything out, but it vanished somehow.

String question that I'm sure has been discussed, but 970+ pages are difficult to search.  I'm interested in trying fast flight material again, probably 450+ or 8125 this time.  My yew John Lee bow does not have tip overlays or tip wedges.  If I get a 12 to 16 strand FF string with padded loops is that ok to shoot on this bow?  I think I remember saying that as long as the loops are padded sufficiently they will work on any longbow.

I have a folder with brochures from most of the longbow makers that dates all the way back to 1960 to 2005. Nope, not gonna sell them.

But now we know you have them, so us Northeast boys might take a little trip to Iowa.  You should have kept your secret a secret   ;)

Nice restore on that JH wildcat Green, what are the specs on that bow and what does she like for ammo. A fresh facelift needs a fresh kill. Good luck on your pig hunt.......slay a monster.   :)

Is it possible to have them scanned and saved to make them available for others to see?  That would be cool!

That would be cool.  They don't even need to be scanned.  You could just take digital photos of them and put them up here.  I love it when we find chores for other TradGangers to do.  Me and "Brass Knuckles" Nicky can give you a hand if you need it.  :)

Has anyone shot one of the HHA Ol' Timers? If so, how do they compare to the regular bows?

Trad Longbow Joe

I used to own one and found it did not have the same zip as the Hills with glass on both the belly and the back.  That is just from my observations, but it was very sweet shooting bow.
