I only have one bow but im sad about it   :(

If the bow fits the shooter and is well designed then i'd say the statement holds true. I enjoy shooting different bows too but am much more accurate when I shoot one exclusively

Anyone who thinks they can switch around often and shoot 4-5+ different bows with the same accuracy as just one is fooling themselves.

Just the one Widow for me...for now.

Mr. fingers

I usually dedicate myself to just one. I have a Bob Lee  recurve that was,the one for 5 yrs now it's on the rack. I know shoot a big Jim buffalo. It is now the one. The only one so fear me

Well I am guilty of more than one.. I am an addict, I do not know how many I have, some where between 30 ad 40. I just donated 10 a while back to kids.  If I see a deal I get it.

The Cayuga is the only one... for now. I have a 25 year old Quicks Peregrine recurve with a broken limb in my workshop, but that doesn't count.
Besides, its a bit far to shoot over the Atlantic ocean... Nothing to fear from me.

I shoot only one bow but have many.  I'm in a pickle when it comes to getting rid of my bows because they are all 70# and up!  I told my wife if something happens to me just throw them all away because nobody can shoot them any way!

Wow, pretty absolute statement there Mike.

Maybe I've been fooling myself, but I've also fooled a lot of animals with different bows through out the year, or even same week, and even killed animals with different bows on the same day.

Yep, that's the old 'If I can't do it nobody can' mentality.

Sound like I'm the weirdo of the bunch.  :)   I've been shooting the same bow since 1998!  It's a Silvertip that Dave Windauer made for me. I am on my third set of limbs, if that counts for anything!

I should've said its the ONLY bow I've had since 1998.

Yeah, I know plenty of guys that can shoot lights out with what ever bow they pick up or show up with. They can hang with what ever bow they are shooting, and out shoot a lot of other guys I know that usually shoot the same bow.

Form is what its about, and form can transfer from bow to bow.

I once shot with a guy that showed me something about form.  He shot while holding the bottom fade out just to prove his point.  I could not believe how accurate he was shooting this way. Almost as good, I mean almost, as good as when his hand was in the grip.

Funny how obsessed we can become, I play guitar, and for years I was buying, trading and selling guitars like crazy, in short I had a bad case of g.a.s. (Guitar acquisition syndrome) I finally got over it but I fear it's switched to bows, I already want to buy more and I have only owned my first trad bow a few months. I Need help.

I didn't say you couldn't hunt and/or kill animals with different bows, even on the same day Terry.  BUT in my opinion you will be much more accurate sticking to one. Far too many variables between different bows, arrows, and stings to be as consistent as one.

Try this experiment fellas... Shoot a 3D course with 30 different bows, 1 for each target. Then shoot it with one bow, a bow you shoot exclusively. I guarantee you the 1 bow will be the best score. Absolutely

pbr

I shoot one, Centaur, and don't see a reason to own anymore until I can find one better, for me everything else I have shot is a disappointment in comparison.

GREASEMAN

Nothing to fear here either, as I only have three now

Trond

Got parts for my old Quicks Peregrine today. The limbs of a Samick Red Fox fitted my old riser perfectly. So now I have two bows, and thereby nothing to fear.

The last time I only had one bow was 1962. Most since then are still here.

md126 ....I hear ya....but I don't shoot 3D courses....shot one back in 2003, can't remember shooting one since...that was my 1st and last.  Had a great time, and enjoyed the company as it was great also.  Shot pretty darn good with a borrowed bow out of Bob Morrison's booth.  One I'd never shot before.  Charlie Lamb, Dean Torges, Spudley, or the late Mr. Jerry Peirce's son could tell ya how I did.

Not at all saying that shooting only one bow was a bad thing...and agree probably best. But being able to shoot a host of bows well is obtainable also, and also not a bad thing.
