The rabbit that is feeding under my bird feeder right now is not even afraid of me.  I was trying to become one of those scary one bow guys, but I am weak.  I am buying another bow this week and I am keeping all the bows I was going to give away or sell.  I needed an excuse so I could build a bunch more Surewood arrows, it makes perfect sense that way. I need to make arrows.

I have two. but someday I'd like to be down to one.

I have only one bow....a 58in tall tines. But I'm on the list for a new centaur.

When I had my first bow I used it daily for 1.5 years. I used a match box as my target up to 15 meters and hit it with 4/5 arrows.
I currently have 4 (used to have 6) bows and since they use different arrows on them my brains are constantly calculating and I'm not nearly as good shooter anymore.
Now that I just received a new Bigfoot bow I'm planning to dedicate all my time shooting with it.

back in the late 80's early 90's i only had one bow, a 65lb bighorn recurve, it was my first "custom" bow i really shot that bow well, then i started gathering longbows as well as recurves, swapping them around and buying and selling. I bought a 62 lb schaffer tip off Chuck earlier this year, it took me a while to bond with this bow, but its all i have shot since i got it, and am really shooting it well, i firmly believe that i personally need to stick with a bow to shoot it like i should be able to.  This 'Tip may have me selling or donating a few bows  all except my original bighorn, its staying. So im probably gonna be dang close to 1 bow

Eric if you are ever up working Sell's counties or attending the greatest gatherings of Dutchmen on the planet, other than the one in Pella, stop by and we will see what we can do about that desire to be bow deficient.

I heard a wise man say, beware of the man that can shoot ANY bow.

No real reason to fear me... but I only have one bow, the one in my signature.

I don't suppose I should count the one my grandchildren shoot.

When my wife was asked how many pair of shoes she had, she replied "I really only have one or two pair that I actually wear".

I am like that.  Until this year I would occaisionally buy a bow to try, but end up pretty much shooting the same bow- my Blacktail.  I now have a Shrew (again) that has possibilities. And thinking about another bow. Just too much fun trying different bows.

Geez, I ain't THAT bad a shot, don't need to fear me (unless you are standing behind me when I shoot).

Fear the wife of the man who only let him own one bow.

Of course, the statement, "beware the person with one bow, gun, etc., he probably knows how to use it," is a myth.  The implication is that he/she shoots it better than those who own more than one.  Just not so.  There isn't a champion in anything who has only "one" of his chosen implement.

I would never be without a back-up, particularly on an out-of-state hunt.  Bows don't just fail. Usually folks figure out ways to break them, closing them in car doors and trunks, driving over them, dropping them over cliffs, into lakes or rivers, out of trees, etc.

It's never happened to me, but I'd sure hate it if I somehow managed to break my only bow at the start of a two-week hunt 1,500 miles from home.   :saywhat:

I suppose you should have feared me when I was 9??? Lol

I currently have 4 longbows MOAB, Whippenstick,Centaur and a Bigfoot. I have my Assenheimer recurve.  I shoot all them well. I WILL ALWAYS keep a spare bow.  I had an A&H delaminate on the second week of hunting season! I am looking to sell a few though! ha

I currently have three with a highly anticipated TT Stickflinger in the works.

However for the past two years I have been so pleased with my Morrison Cheyenne I have not touched my other two.

But they sure do look good on the wall when I knock the dust off of them every know and then!

GingivitisKahn

Don't fear me but yep - I'm a one bow man.
