I usually carry one of my trusty Buck 105s or a Buck 112, which seems to be misplaced at the moment.  And I carry one of Clarence's (Skullworks) damascus blades in my pack.

That Benchmade activator looks real nice!

This is a knife that is important to me because it is a gift of my good friend Steve Clandinin,he knew I had some Macassar riser bows and so he made the handle with some Macassar!

I used it as soon as I had it on my hands.

Gene,I bought kit blades,I believe from texasknife and installed the bolsters and handles.The handles are sheep horn.

To accomplish my good friend Craig,here it is a Doug Campell bighorn sheep damascus knife.

This Nebraska turkey is been taken with a great help from Craig,the rest is all Montana:knife and bow.

Great knives folks! Here's my latest after the BR Pro-scalpel series. Hollow ground scalloped blade, full tang (hidden), polished bone bolster backed by 2 rawhide spacers. Handle is weathered black walnut burl (?) cured in olive oil & highly polished.

   

Lots of beautiful customs. Cool to see the variety of blade shapes, in particular.

I don't own anything all that fancy, just some good reliable knives. While I appreciate the craftsmanship and materials in high-end cutlery, I also just find a lot of beauty in reasonably-priced simplicity and functionality (plus I'd likely be too worried about a knife that costs several hundred dollars, but that's just me).

Here are three of my faves (l to r - CRKT Brow Tine, Buck Ranger Skinner #113, Grohmann Trout and Bird):

     

The Buck #113 is a great all-around knife for the money, imo. And I've never found a better blade shape for a variety of small game (and even some larger game tasks) than the Grohmann.

For cleaning game, I really like my Kabar Becker BK11...

I have boxes full of knives, but these two have become my favorites for hunting/bushcraft.

Here are my hunting knives. All made by friends except the one I made. The hawk and the knife and sheath just below the head were made by Bobby Keller of North Wilkesboro, NC. The hawk is made from a RR spike and the knife from an old file.


The one on the top to the right was made by Don Bruton(aka White Wolf) for my first Colorado elk hunt. This knife was also made from an old file.


The one on the bottom right was my first hunting knife made by my friend in GA, Larry Spier. It is an Atlants Cuttlry Blade that Larry fitted the antler handle and bolster on.  Probably made in 1979.
 The knife on the bottom left with the paracord handle was last year birthday present by Jonathan Creason. It was made with metal stock...and the one on the top left was one of my first attempts at knife making last winter. It was made with a lawn edger blade.

Several years before he passed away, my good friend Jim Sasser made these matching knives for my two boys and I.  He also made  the ivory folder for me.  He was truly a great, great man and I miss my visits with him.

At Geezer: Love those three matching handled knives. What kind of wood is that? Just beautiful.

I will post some pics of some of my collection pieces, have not really used many of them for hunting yet as I was into knives way before I was into hunting lol.
