one lung and liver I would guess,  maybe alittle of both lungs,  it only traveled 200 yards max but doubled back and circled.

We are at 13:1 now JR for 7 and 15 combined.  You did have me nervous for a bit as I have THREE TradGangers coming from various parts of Alaska the last week in May.

We have three baits out and found out one was DESTROYED.  I had a whopper brownie coming into that site a couple years ago, hopefully the same one only bigger!

Chromebuck

Congrats to Brian on his recovery.  Nice job with the canines Jason!  Can't wait to see the skulls of both of your bears.

Steve I got myself worried as well,  I got into a now or never mentality and went hard at it trying to beat the quota.  My fault for not just taking the time to call myself.

A 29" brownie is truly a big old boar.  Congratulations to your friend on his kill!  That will yield quite a few surviving moose calves for next year.

wingnut

That's great that you found the other bear.  If nothing else the skull will make a wonderful mount.

I can't imagine a 29" boar with a bow.  WoW!!

Makes hunting black bears pretty dang tame by comparison. Great stuff!

If that bear was 8' on the carcass, that's an absolute monster.A bear like that will square 10',easily.Geat bears for sure.Nice going guys.

Caddo

That's absolutely Awesome! Great Bear!

I've been on Black Bear Baits and had Grizzlies come in so I fully understand the excitement!

Glad to see a dream come true!

his hide would measure around 8 tail to nose and 9 claw to claw. the skull ended up 27 3/4".
the troopers are giving him a hard time,  he will find out this afternoon if they are going to try and charge him with something,  the trooper seems like he know very little about animals and bow hunting.  He asked him why he would shoot a bear with that thing and not just use his rifle.  then he asked how heavy the broad head was, brian said 150 and the trooper tried to tell him it was too light and illegal.
At least Brian knows he did all he could and then some.  Hopefully they come to their senses.

here is a trail cam pick of brains bear right before he stuck it.  pretty amazing the bear was as thick as it was long.  From what im learning around here there are some bears that just don't get long but they get heavy and a big noodle
