I hope to step back in time some and enjoy the woods more,using my older bows,arrows,broadheads,clothing and use natural ground blinds.I know it's harder from the ground but for me it's more exciting eye to eye.

Going to try hunting other places most hunters wouldn't think about. Small weeded draws, and small timbers out in the middle of nowhere. Been watching a very nice buck and a few does hanging in a weeded draw since last month. Should be fun trying to outwit them. Also have a cane arrow with a knapped head that's wanting baptized.

First time in history for an elk season close to my home so going to hunt elk close to home

Still trying to get fully mobile after a hip replacement, so I don't know what I'm going to be able to do. BUT, I think I'll use the bow only.
There I said it! Now I have to do it. Bow or gun season, bow only.
Also try for a bear. Good deer population on our land and now a bear has been around.
That would be too fine if my first trad kill was a bear. Our place is called Bearwood Farms...

I usually go away on DIY hunts but I burned up my vacation working on my farm. I am going to be hunting whitetail on the ground this year locally.

I can wait to hunt them again without a tree stand, going back to the beginning.

This year i'm hunting with my Howatt Hi Speed and Predator II CE shafts. And shoot a big buck! LOL

I'm going to start carrying my rangefinder, mainly to predetermine yardages to shooting lanes.  Never felt right carrying an electronic piece while trad bowhunting, but what the heck, it may make the difference on a hit or miss.

Going to try a few new areas and expand my possibilities too.

Hunt Traditional.  Since I gave up the compound last feb. didnt get a chance to hunt with the recurve.  This will be my first season and I am pumped!!
