What part of your gear, scouting, shooting, blind/treestand placement or location do you plan on changing for the better?  :campfire:

I have several new things going on this year.  Earlier in the year I made the switch from split finger to 3 under.  Finally after a few months I believe it is going to pay off.  My shooting seems to have gotten better.  I also got in a club that has 6000 acres.  This is a lot of new land to roam around on.  I am sure it will be an interesting season this year!

If I ever get my ghillie done, I will be using it!

juneaulongbow

Build and hunt out of a ground blind... hopefully in the next month or so.

archeryx

Ditch the wheels completely.......for the whole season this time.

That's a big step for me. Wish me luck. Haha

Don't miss this time and harvest a whitetail.

Use trail cams to maximize my hunting efforts.

#1 Will only shoot Black Widow recurves from this day forward, they're the best, brand loyalty to my MO friends.
#2 I think my stands need to be a little higher, not crazy about heights but it might help me see some deer that might have unbeknownst to me been busting me.
#3 Stop over hunting spots, get off the home place & hunt some new spots, even if that means camping alone. Not that afraid of the boggie man anyhow.

BUCKY

Way up on the ridge with my new bow. I used to hunt the middle of the ridge but this year I'm getting away from everyone and going far up. I hunt public land.

Stumpkiller

I have a new ladder stand (never had a store-bought ladder stand!) and have just placed it in an area I scouted last year that showed good deer activity.

I'm hoping to break my streak of bad luck and bring one down with the widow this year.

Spend more time in the woods with my longbow. I may not pick up a gun this year either.

1. Hunt more from the ground, especially since my back went out while on the tractor this morning and I can't sit or stand comfortably as I type this.
2. Not to again miss the same deer from the same stand, standing in the same place on 2 separate days
3.Rely more on natural camo (plaids, etc.) and less on commercial camo.
4.Get blood on my Hill Cheetah.

Fletcher

Hunting this fall with a 1960 Bear Grizzly and some period Razorheads.  If I make it work, it will be the oldest bow I've shot anything with.  Might plant a fall food plot, too.

Getting more mobile.  Last year our little group of 5 killed 8 deer,  Only one from an old permanent stand.

I have a timbertall climber, a millinium loc-on with three blocks and sets of sticks, and a Gorilla silverback scout with LW sticks for the long treks.
