Well here I am again, need a new bow once more. This would be my second Samick Red Stag 60" 45@28 that "broke". This one actually broke as i drew back to shoot, cut my hand and put a mark below my eye. Needless to say i will never buy another Samick bow so I need some advice on a new bow to buy. I have a max of 750 to spend now, would like to stay below that number tho, looking for some new ideas for one piece recurves. I just do target shooting so id like something that is durable. Here are some images of by bow.

I'm assuming made in Korea? Two different bows broke, I'd be looking for another line to try.

Sorry to hear about your bows.  750 is a healthy budget and opens you up to many of our Bowyer sponsors: Toelke, Holm, Eaglewing, Bigfoot, Fedora and many many more. Way better products and workmanship!

Michael, I would suggest TimberHawk bows. Scott Mitchell is a great bowyer and well below $750.00 for a Strike XT.

Lots of good bows out there in that price range. keep an eye on the classifieds. Im shooting a Black Creek Banshee recurve right now that i really like. Ive been eyeballin RER, Tall Tines, Brooks, and Caribow, here lately. really like the look of that Brooks.

A nice short 1 piece recurve, "The Cree" by Hill Country Bows is in your price range.

For $750 you could get 2-3 bows off the classifieds, find the one you like and not lose much re-selling the others.

This stuff ain't no rocket surgery science!

$750 will buy a good bow.  Classifieds are full of good deals.

With $750 to spend you can get about 1000 different bows. There are about 50 good bowyers who's names regularly show up on here. I'd suggest starting with the classifieds and researching or even better, go to a local shoot and bug guys to try their bows. Bows are very personal.

I hate to say it, but I had a Samick Deermaster delaminate on me. I go the limbs replaced, sold it, and then one of the new ones started to go for that guy too so I ended up having to find a new one to send out to him, cost me more money than I sold the bow for in end!

You can get a lot of bow for $750.00.  Take some time and call the many sponsors here and I am sure you'll get a quality bow that fits you.  Or hit some trad shoots and try out  as many as you can.

Hey Michael...might be time to re-think that whole used bow thing you mentioned in your last post.  With that amount of $$ you can really take your pic of a BUNCH of bows from the classisieds!  Try it!!!  There are some amazing bows showing up there every day!!  Just wish I had a large savings account so that I could snag a few for myself.

Glad it missed your eye!!!    :scared:      Sorry to hear about your troubles.  3rd time's the charm!!

I see your from PA? You have a great bowyer in your home state by the name of Leon Stewart, aka stewarts archery. I own two of them, and they are great bows.

If I where you, I would take a drive down to his shop, and test drive his bows.

sad to here....I have owned several Samicks over the years and they proved to be good, reliable bows.......with all things now a days quality control may have gone to pot ????? For $750.00 bucks you can get many "custom" bowyers to make a real nice bow....

$750 can get you a "REAL" nice bow on the classifieds.....there was just a Black Widow on there for less than that......

I would consider the classifieds first, $750 gets you almost anything you want used.
