I got the job in Bozeman Montana!!! I start on the 15th of July, couldn't be more excited for this opportunity. My wife and I are busy packing/trying to find a place to live etc. Quite hectic, but I can't wait to be able to drive a little ways to be able to toss some flies at some huge trout, and will get plenty of scouting in this year before elk/muley season next year!

From Iowa to Montana. I'd call that a landslide win. Congrats.
is it September yet??

Yep we are more than excited, it was nice being able to chase big whitetails around, but it was a bummer only being able to chase after one species. Wasn't really "chasing" either, more like scouting then waiting for an opportunity lol. No it is very nice here though, great place to raise a family, but seeing as its just my wife and I and our basset hound, we are going to be selfish for a while and get the most out of our dual incomes with no kids while we can hahaha!

Well, obviously the big dilemma will be your user name. I kept mine even though I'm in Utah. .. These are the big decisions.

I'd make sure to buy a lifetime hunting license in Iowa before you leave!!!!!!

Good luck with your move.  Winters will be a switch, but absolutely a beautiful state. I am happy for you.

I would like to, but we have to be 60-65 I believe to do so :/   Winter's here have been pretty rough last couple years, I got snowed in at my father in law's house for 3 days w/no water or electricity...I'm glad @ least the stove top worked and we had a fireplace!

WooHoo! Welcome to Montana, you should love it in Bozeman. Probably my favorite location from a hunting perspective.

His name was Jeremiah Johnson, and they say he wanted to be a mountain man. The story goes that he was a man of proper wit and adventurous spirit, suited to the mountains. Nobody knows whereabouts he come from and don't seem to matter much. He was a young man and ghosty stories about the tall hills didn't scare him none. He was looking for a Hawken gun, .50 caliber or better.                     Good move Settler !!

I love that movie, my dad and I have watched Jeremiah Johnson easily a thousand times together ever since I could tie my own shoes! I am going to have to watch it one last time with him before I move!
