Yes....what weight is the bow you used on the bison, arrow setup (i.e. weight, broadhead, wood type), distance, shot placement, story?

Outstanding!

Thanks for the excellent pics Walt.

Thanks for the compliments.

The bison (a ranch harvest) was taken with Pigger, the bow I have hunted with for the past several years.  She is 57-58# @ my 29".  The arrow was a 30", footed hex pine shaft, tipped with a 190 grain grizzly, weighing 625 grain (I think).  15-18 yards shot, it penetrated almost to the fletching, and the bison was down in 15 yards and 30 seconds.
The broadhead used, regardless of how sharp, is nowhere as important as being able to place it in the correct spot.

Can't wait to see them Mike. I hope they don't sell until I have. I love the painted ones but I really want to see that one that looks like an elk antler. I may have to copy that one!

This is a yew selfbow I made from a small yew tree that Don Berg cut in the wilderness of Mantana and brought out 8 miles strapped to his bicycle.

This is Elkie, sinew backed osage. I built her for my first elk hunt in Colorado in '06. Pictured with Kenneth, my host and I gave Elkie to Kenneth after our hunt.

This is a 60" osage static recurve I made quite a few years ago with a few of my crooked arrows. The one with the red fletching now belongs to Bernie Dunn.

This is "Herb's Bow", a bow I was asked to make by Herb Reynolds the founder of the Carolina Traditional Archers(CTA). Unfortunately Herb passed away before I could give him the bow so I donated it to CTA to be raffled off in Herb's name...
