"By the way I kept posting my pics here even with my computer problems because I didn't feel the recent "Haversack Manpurse" thread should have more pages than a self bow thread."

  :biglaugh:

Even though I own one and use it from time to time,,, it just didn't seem right to beat out a thread on our favorite primitive weapon!

In the beginner's mind there are many possibilities. In the expert's there are few...So the most difficult thing is always to keep your beginner's mind...This is also the real secret of the arts: always be a beginner.  Shunryu Suzuki

God fellas I can't believe the beauty and workmanship gone into these fine bows.I'm like Roy selfbow construction is out of my grasp.I recieved a beautiful Osage selfbow from a good friend of mine from Arkansas.it was his way of saying thanks for taking him and his friend Elk hunting in northern alberta,Man that bow is beautiful, one of my most prized treasures.Someday would love to get another one.I've got a Yew stave coming to try to make an Old English longbow,We'll see how she turns out.

Donated Diamondback:

You may have noticed that I make my selfbows to hunt with and abuse the heck out of them.  They don't stay looking pretty very long.
