well got to go out, weekends are a no no.but im fortunite enough to work only 3 hours a day but get paid really well.got out about 2:30 and figured i would set in one of my food plot stands cause the wind was swirling...got settled in hooked up my hss and settled in for a long night so i thought.seen several deer early spooked 2 going in so i figured it was over before it started but was the best night so far seen 6 bucks and 7 does the bucks were not what i want too shoot yet.well seen deer al night on the edges of the woods but didnt want to come in to the plot.well finaly right at 6,3 came in for a visit.2 stayed out at 35yds.and the smaller of the three came in real close.well she stayed under some overhanging branchs well before i knew it she was 3 yards,i have practiced this shot hundreds of time in my stand in the back yard well i let her pass a little and got her slightly quartering away shot was right where i was looking, high in the lung and took a slice of heart and offset lung complete pass through,35 yd.recovery...was a good night...will someone post some pics for me

I'm glad to see a bunch of people taking does this year. We need to get the ration under control.

i think this is the last year ill be using 2 bladed broadheads,i have killed 2 does with 2 different 2 blades and was not happy with the blood trails on either one.first one was a heart shot lost blood 15 yds in but she only went another 25 yds.that was an abowyer javelina lite with a hundred grain insert total weight of arrow 712 grains out of a 56 lbs bw pma 2.2nd one was double lung and sliced the heart and had a low exit hole was magnus 2 blase 175 grains total on a caboron express heritage 350 with a 25 grain screw in adaptor total arrow weight 610 grains both heads were scary sharp.think ill be trading the abowyers for some magnus snuffers or ww bhs

Steve, I used the RFA Phoenix this year, but have used ww or snuffers with great results as well.
