When I hunt a tree stand, ground blind or sit with my Ghillie suit on I shoot best with a recurve. For me it is better for the planned shot at standing game like deer.

For quicker shooting on fast shots at things like rabbits, I seem to shoot my R/D longbows better. I prefer them for stalking hunts on hogs, javalina and the like.

I have pheasant hunted a few times with my bows and the one Hill style Martin ML-10 I have is the best for shooting at fast jumping targets on the wing.

Had to pick the take-down recurve the way the poll was worded, but each of the bows I have is a tool tailor made for a specific job, or hunting situation.

In a moment of decision the best thing you can do is the right thing. The worst thing you can do is nothing.

Been killing recently with my HH "Wild Boar" but just received a new TD HH "Redman" that will be my go to bow this year. Need a little blood on my "Redman" so it won't feel out of place when resting with my other Hill bows.  :archer2:

A couple months ago I would have to say my Morrison Shawnee recurve. But as of late, I have to side with my Shawnee with longbow limbs on it.

My go-to bow has always been a recurve , that said I'm looking for a longbow now . What does that say about me ?
