As you'll see, this was a less than perfect hit. But the amount of blood on the ground was once again outstanding!

Bunch of does came in at last light. Looked with bino's to make sure the big 8pt. that I'm after wasn't with them.

One stopped at about 15yds.,quartering away. Lost the arrow as soon as it left the bow. Knew I'd hit her, but not sure where.

Stuck in the ground....

A couple samples of what I found....

My Main beam/Wensel Bro's light caught a reflecting eye.....
•

How I found her....About 50yds. from where I hit her.....
•

Next you'll see why I prefer big multi blade broadheads.......

She's a big'un!
•

As you can see here, where the arrow went in...pretty far back, just behind the last rib.....
•

Exit...Ideally this is really where you'd want the arrow to go in on a shot like this.....
•

Even though the arrow angled forward, it was still pretty much further back than you'd want. It went thru the paunch, liver, and the very back of the off lung.....But the amount of blood on the ground was exceptional!  The razor sharp Snuffer had her down and out in 50yds!

Just more support for why I prefer big Snuffers!

Check out the size of the head on this ol' gal...

Man that's a serious blood trail. I'll be using the 150gr Snuffers for my late season hunt. Congrats on a nice doe.

She is a big'un!  What you reckon she'll weigh?

There are two eternal truths in bowhunting.  You can't cut a hole too big, and you can't have too much blood.

Wow mate... she is a big doe. I too love 3 blade heads on most animals.

Thanks for the pics. Say... have you checked out the cost of flights to aussie yet?
