I was wondering what poundage the bow was and weight of the arrow you were shooting. I am thinking about trying a heavier snuffer. I was  dissapointed in a lighter snuffer. I searched back topics and found where you would only use a lightweight snuffer on small game.

The two bows I am shooting are 55# and 51# at my draw length. My current arrows weigh a few grains over 400 without a broadhead.
Thanks, Gary

Well done Bro! I'll have at least one Snuffer in my quiver when I hunt on my hunt club end of November. In those thick pines, I want all the blood on the ground I can get. They definately can be day savers...or season savers for that matter.

Next time you come across a doe that big, rope her instead. I think I've got a saddle that will fit on one that size and would like to take bets with some local cowboys on who could stay on her! WHEEW she's a monster!

Congrats on the huge doe!! Just curious, what draw weight, draw length, and arrow weight were you using?

That's the exact reason why I went from a 125 grain screw on Snuffer to the big 160 grain glue on. Congratulation's on your doe, I can't wait to see what my Snuffers do.

Tom Leemans

I've used the 125's also, and they leave a plenty easy to follow trail, as long as you do your job. I like the 160's though. Bigger hole. Simple as that.

:clapper:  She's a dandy buddy  :goldtooth:  You sure can nock them down with those big ol snuffers.

Think she's as big as the doe you killed down here  ;)

Guru

Thank fellas     :notworthy:

Tracy, No bud, not as big as this ol KS gal, but not far off I bet......

Al, Not yet bud, but it's gonna happen brutha!

As far as the set-up I was using.... It was "Timex", my 63# @28 1/2" Jack Kempf Kwyk Styk, a sweet shooter and true "killer" since I got it in '97...

Arrows are CX Terminator(black shaft)60/75's that I got from "Hot Hap"in this years white elephant.

29".... regular alum. insert.....8" Onestringer wrap.....3 rw,  5" custom burned(shape) feathers by me....with the big 'ol Snuffer 160 on a 125gr. steel adapter.....

They come in right at 630grs....10 gpp....

Have no idea what the "foc" is, but it has 300 grains of the 630 in the point end with the insert, bh, and adapter.....

SB, The shot distance was about 12-15yds, but I never paced off...
