Moose ?? Camp!!! (...Cry WOLF !!!)

Remember when I drug out my spring brown bear story for page after page after page? Well, I will make this one short and sweet....

My buddy Benny and my moose camp was over run by WOLVES! There was moose sign in the area but it was all really old.

We left camp on three occasions to specifically hunt wolves since they were howling nearby for days. I got to 14 paces on one while still hunting and here is the results!

Benny was within 25 yards on several occasions but too much intervening brush for a shot.

Look at the feet on that bugger! They're really impressive animals. What would a wolf like that weigh? Congrats on an awesome trophy.

Danny: Soooo much time to post many pictures when you have to go thru photobucket so the condensed story is it!

It is a small "b!tch" so probably only weighed 65-70 pounds or so????? A big wolf will weigh well over a hundred and a quarter pounds plus.
