Is it normal to have to scroll through a bunch of GIANT ads to get down to the meat and potatoes if you will? I'm on a iphone so maybe there is some setting I need to tweak? Each ad is almost full screen for me on the landing page, and slightly smaller on the topic pages.

I hear ya on the banner ads - and commiserate. I wish we didn't have to go that route, but Trad Gang Admin's not rich and self sufficient enuf to pay the monthly bills that keep the campfire going pretty much 24x7x52.

The current forum "theme" that's set for all users is "mobile phone friendly" and best to use a phone in its horizontal position, for the widest screen, which will help to compress banner ads. I will add that a small part of the viewing experience on cellphones will be missing as opposed to using a desktop or laptop or pad.

However, there are other forum themes that are not meant to be used with itty bitty teeny tiny screens and portray forums in a very compressed (small viewing) linear visual format that can be finger swipe enlarge. I'll test some out on my Android phone and report back to ya here in this thread.

Yep I know what they are, they were always there for me before and I totally understand the reason behind them. They were much smaller for me before and I didn't have to scroll down several times to get past them. I'll have to check on my computer when I get home to see if it's different. I'll try the horizontal screen too.

Otherwise, I'm digging the new look.

Scout, are you talking about the Home Page or the Powwow????

I see this on the Home Page and they have always been there. However they were horizontal across the top and now they are vertical. Turn you phone horizontal and you will see that the banners also become horizontal. I don't like it either but it either that for the moment or the possibility of no Tradgang if we would have stayed where we were. Rob said we were EOT where we were, End of Time, and it was only a matter of time before the whole site collapsed.

Trust me we are working on it cause I can't stand it either. It's not 1st priority however, checking the rest of the 'functions' of camp.

Now, the Powwow is fine form me, and I see no issues other that some banner tweaking soon as we can. However, it looks just like it did before.

So, tell me if its Home or Powwow or both.
