As March is winding down I know that Turkey season is opening in some states. Any early birds out there???

Hey Sean, I had a couple roost above my car 2 weeks ago.  Yesterday I walked about 3 miles trying to find tracks in the snow.  No luck though.

Our youth weekend is next weekend. Owner two weeks after. I usually see them in my backyard the week before the regular season opens. None yet.

I am in Nebraska sitting in a blind now. Hopefully one of these birds will feel like donating to the cause after while.    :goldtooth:

Not today. One was roosting right over my stand when I walked in, and he flew off. In the distance, I heard a gobble. Shortly thereafter there was a gunshot. No more activity after that.

Our season comes in on April 17th. My knee replacement keeps getting delayed. Hoping I can get it done soon and hunt the latter part of our season. Been seeing a flock of 17 from my front porch.

Good luck all!

Opened this morning. My wife and I were sitting in blind before daylight and after calling a bit had one comming in behind us gobbling at 8:00 AM. Tried not to call him to much because I have heard that is not good. He was comming straight in from behind the  blind from north to south and all of a sudden he turned East and circled around the blind about 300 yards. About 9:00 AM I saw 5 cross the road where I thought he went. Don't know if I called to much or he was with hens. Actually at one time we thought we heard two of them gobbling and were together. I am new to this and still learning.

Still in NY buddy.  Same number.  I'm currently looking for work in Wisconsin.  Once the right job comes along I'll be gone pretty quickly though.

Hopefully the struttin toms around here are creating a next generation and will be stoopid  when season opens in 2 weeks.

I've adopted too many bows that needed a good home.

I have to wait til May 1st here in NY.  I'm chomping at the bit. I lost my honey hole a few years ago but I have some back up places.

One more day for me in Nebraska. Killed a nice tom yesterday. Kind of a slow day today but I have several roosted for the morning.

Fat Clyde

Its been a rough few hunts for the Thunder Chickens. I finally called one hen in last Friday. Got her in to about 8 yards without a blind. I have had this idea that my first Turkey would be with a bow an no blind. So far... No luck...
Arise, kill, and eat.

Ulysseys

End of April for NJ but they're rocking every morning behind my house
