Flintznsticks there's a tutorial in the how to section on how to modify your chopper to make low profile banana feathers. Good luck!

Sure would like to know how you guys get quiet nana's.
I have 3 choppers. sheil, nana, and traditional. Trad and nana's sound like a million bee's in flight but the shields r whisper quiet.
I really like nana's for 3d shoots. wheelie guys get a kick out of them.
Don't chop them so high.

for me, it's lo-pro nanners on carbons, 4" 4-fletch, slight offset and no helical.  for woodies, same length only cut a tad higher.  without a doubt, for me the nanners are quieter than shields.

Why no parabolic was asked?  I have nothing against them at all.....just that Ive been shooting shields 100% for a while now and was thinking of trying some bananas,  thats all.  No hate for the parabolics...please dont confuse!
wanted to see what people said regarding the bananas.

Maybe missed it - how do you get the nanners to low profile?

Dirtybird

Grapes that is way to funny.  Nanas for me.

li'l chopper sells a lo-pro banana cutter, or shim up yer standard cutter for a lowered feather height and length.  i use 4-fletch exclusively between 4" (carbons) and 4-3/4" (woods).

Been shooting 4 x 4" low pro naners for years and do not plan on switching anytime soon.

You can also buy the Hunter cut (low pro naner) from Herb's Archery. He based his chopper design off the old Vario Clipper.
