Raging Water

For short bows?

Jack Kempf Kwyk Styk 56" and JD Lund 56" Kajikastick are awsome shooters

Also, can't beat a Centaur.

I have got a Bear Super Magnum 48" 85# at 28".

Shoots real fast, hits real hard.

Fun to watch folks draw my "Little Bow" LOL.

Jack Kempf now offers a new 52" Kwyk Styk....great for guys who draw 25-28". Super smooth with those Static Limbs and "Kwyk".
"Neal...is this heaven?" "No Piute but we are dam close". Top of the Mtn in Medicine Bow Nat Forest.

If ya want a good short recurve ya oughtta check out Rodney Wright's Stalker.  46" long and shoots where you're lookin'.  Only good to 28" draw though.  Hits a wall at 28", but is a fun bow to shoot.  I don't plan on ever gettin' rid of mine.  Check 'em out.  :archer2:

james parker of huntworthyproductions.com specializes in short bows.  his vagabond models are by far the best shooting little bows out there.  he sent me one of his 46" vagabonds, first pic, to try.  it's a great shooter but i can just feel it start to stack at 28".  i have five of his bows, two are his turk model, second pic shot at 50 yards, which is a little horsebow style bow.

Cascade makes the best short bows out there. His 52" recurve can be drawn to 30" and the 48" model is good to 28". He also has a new 56" longbow that is a dream to shoot.

If you want to go really short look at Little Suckling recurves. He has a really nice 44" bow that draws smooth to 29".

Make sure you get a well designed short bow as a poorly designed one will not be very forgiving.

I have a 50" Ambush from Two Tracks, Very fast quiet and great shooter. I have never shot another short recurve that can compare to this bow!

A huge DITTO on that - I had Chuck build me one and was just a bit apprehensive, but I was impressed to say the least!  Great fit and finish, surprisingly fast, and most surprising was how quiet it was.  A short bow that has all those qualities, and is easy to shoot....equals a top runner in the "best" race.  Havn't shot a short recurve that compares.

RER Arroyo is another good shooting short bow.

Really looking forward to getting a 52" Kwyk Styk here in the near future.

For something a little longer but still short is the 56" Kwyk Styk which is by far the best shooting bow I have owned.

Not shot them all, but my 46" Rodney Wright Stalker Recurve is smooth for my 26.5" draw, hard hitting, loves heavy arrows, and is my go to for ground game in thick cover.  Oh, almost forgot, it's a real work of art as well.

Rodney wright makes a 46" that takes a 40" string.
It's an improved Herters perfection 46.
I had a herters 46 and it was a sweet shooting bow.
Draw stops at 28" no real stack ...just stops.
You can see a review of one of the Wright bows on peteward.com.

I'll 2nd that, especially if you have good and consistent form, as they are a bit sensitive.

My tip is to check with some of the good bowyers/sponsors if they will lend you a bow for a week or so, that way you will be able to test a few  :)
