I've shot a squirrel with an Ace blunt though the mesh, along with a red fox at around 23 yds., besides the deer.  Keep the mesh tight, it won't hurt a thing.  Shoot a few arrows through it to satisfy your curiosity--the mesh can take a LOT of shots before it needs replacing.

Shot thru the screen today guys and the arrow went through like it wasn't there. I'm a believer now. Thanks

so now I have a hole in my screen. How many before I need to replace it?

Thanks

You can put several holes in it. It shouldn't hurt anything, in my experience.

Fell asleep once and woke up to seven jakes they had done whooped up on my Tom decoy knocked him down tore his tail feathers up and were leaving when I woke up.called one back to 15 yds and I missed.I shoot land sharks through the net with no problems.

I would love to find large rolls of the camo mesh screen so I can see more than I am. I can pretty much let the side flaps down, and don't really think this will effect the deer patterns of travel.  There is a place to velcro these large mesh screens on the inside of my Ameristep Doghouse blind.

I'm all blacked out inside anyway, so I'm not concerned about the deer seeing my outline, as the back side panel is closed and black.

I have 2 sides all closed down and two side open. I was thinking the same thing if you could get the full width screen for the Ameristep blind. Mine also has the velcro inside. That would be terrific.

I don't like it...also don't like the face painting and too be honest the scent proof outfits I don't care for either. Been hunting for years when they didn't have all this stuff and harvested just as many animals.  :archer2:
