as for the eating Aussie pigs query... my expereince is if they are well cooked and taken closer to the coast they can and often are good eating . The pigs around Texas in Queensland Australia that live on the prickly pear trees makes some of the best eating game meat I've eaten. Even more so the rare mountain pigs we get here down south in Victoria

as for the big western plains pigs of New South Wales and western Queensland, I wouldn't eat them  unless starving!!!

Ben M has it on the money with the eating.  Around my area they are usually pretty good so kept some meat for a mate who loves it.  

Ben K the PCH was resting due to a shortage of arrows to shoot out of it. With this now rectifed, it will be seeing more bush time sooner rather than later.  Can't let it rest on it's laurels.
