My posts where getting more into a depression forum than a trad bowhunting one, so I am very glad I did find him. He really didn't go to far.

100 yds from the place that I shot him there is a dry stream that eventually leads to a little pond , he was traveling in the dry stream when he feel. When we were searching for him he was probably still alive and was in the heavy brush beside the stream, you know Mexico and Texas brush is pretty thick, 400 yds total from where I found him

So thanks to all and I am glad things turned out great.

I stayed in these weekend and my buddies are trying to get their bucks so probably I will post some pics on Monday

I still have two more tags, and lots of time

Roberto Carillo Hunter with a Shrew Recurve and some Alaska carbon arrows, he made a perfect shot at 23 yds quartering away the deer ran 40 yds and fell

Nothing worst than that sinking feeling when you think you might lose um, but nothing better than the relief when you find um    Not all stories have this kind of happy ending............

congrats to Roberto ... he shot the 10 pt buck from a ground blind that we both made.. its a great feeling having a buck that close to you... you cant move or make any noise...
I am trying to make a hunt on a 7 point buck that I ve seen, but has not given me the opportunity to take a shot.. man  I love hunting with a Trad longbow!
