I Headed to the River Today. I had the Trusty Apex Longbow loaded up as well as the Zebco and some bait. I checked the food plot I was on earlier this week and no pigs but there were 5 deer in it. I managed to get around thirty yards and take a pic. Where are these dumb deer in Oct.

RC

The deer is a little left of the white snag in the middle. Kinda hard to see...Anyway I made a loop in the swamp and did`nt cut any really fresh sign so I took the boat up river to a Honey hole and fished for a couple of hours.

After my back started to hurt from sitting in the boat I grabbed the Apex Longbow and headed in the swamp.  I checked a really low area and quickly cut fresh sign. Check out this sand wash from a few weeks ago when the River was flooded. Water was around 8 feet deep here.

RC

As I said I was in fresh sign and after a little ways I heard the leaves rustling. I checked the wind and headed towards the noise and spotted about 15 or so pigs. A few sows and three boars o.One really big one and a bunch of shoats. I was easing toward them on the edge of a slew when I saw a sow on the other side rooting I got a couple of steps closer and waited till she got sideways and I sent a Snuffer on the way. Around a twenty yard shot to the other side of the slew.

The shot looked good so I eased on down the slew to find a place to cross and came back up on the other side looking for blood.. No problem..Snuffers Rule..

RC

After about a 50 yard bloodtrail there she was ...laying in a slew...

The Apex longbow had made meat..

I was gonna ask what you were fishing for... now I know. Looks like surf and turf, all you need is a salad and some taters...lol..well done.
