My main reason for getting Rod out here to Oregon is to have a lot of one on one with him for 2 days. I would feel very blessed to have the benefit of his teaching. The Oregon clinic will be just that. If you guys down south can put together another one, great! But up here it will be focusing on Rod and what he has for us. Sounds like a "West Coast Tour" is firming up!

The other class mentioned lately was limit of 12. I bet the pig hunt could do 12 and the NW could do 12. Like snag said.. a little west coast tour.

Snag let me know if you have any problems with a suitable location.
Here, we would have full use of our archery club and facilities. We are about 30 minutes from San Jose airport; and there would be ample students too.

BigCnyn

Im in on another site but wanted to chime in here also...

Another vote for central CA and Bjorn's club.

snag

Thanks Bjorn. There are two or three good possibilities that I think the guys will enjoy. I will pass on more info. as it develops next week.  Thanks, David

We have an excellent home range here in Hood River and we are only an hour out from Portland (if Rod would be flying). There are several folks here in Hood River who would do back flips to spend time with Rod. Absolutely count this Oregon boy in!

SNAG, interested in where you are located?

snag

Sean, I'm in Eugene. Looks like we have at least 10 who want to come, with others in the wings....looks good! Thanks, David

Ok! Considering all factors...I believe we will be holding this at the local archery club range of the "Apple Knockers" in Hood River, Oregon. Being on I-84 it will be easier for the Idaho and Washington boys also. This is up the beautiful Columbia Gorge, only one hour from Portland. It will be easier for Rod to fly in and out of Portland. Ted Fry at Raptor Archery has got the ok to hold it there. Thanks Ted! If I work it out right I might be able to do a selfbow at Ted's shop afterward if he is up for it...? It looks like there will camping available onsite if anyone wants to do that. I am offering a couple of dates to Rod as I type this. When he responses I will post them for input by all who have responded.  It looks like a GO!!!! Fun stuff guys!  Talk later, David

When I first read about Rod J. doing a shooting class with A&H I thought that was so cool.

Then I started following Snag's threads about bring Rod J. out West, to Oregon, very cool.  I always thought I would have to travel to 'bama to visit Rod J. but it may be that I might be able to see him on the West Coast.

Looking forward to the final arrangements and fine print.   :saywhat:

Guys I apologize for not being able to be more active in this thread....to say this week has be hectic would be a large understatement  ;)  But, then again ya'll have done such an excellent job of putting this together, I would have just been in the way!

So what you thinking, a class in Oregon and another in Cali? I'm in either way!

Rod, so they finally let you out of the office...

Hi Larry, goodo hear from you. Really enjoyed your contribution to the video!

Looks like we know the following:

 1)July 18th & 19th  9am to 5pm each day
2)Total cost is $325, $100 deposit is needed to reserve your spot.
3)Classes will be held at the archery range of the local club in Hood River, Oregon
4)Class will be limited to between 12-15 people

Please mail your deposit to me so I can keep a tally. It sounds like Rod is very busy. Just trying to take one more thing off his plate. I will keep a running tally so everyone knows how it is going. PM me for mailing address.

It's coming together guys! I'm excited. Great venue, great teacher, should be great weather!
