Excellent.Nice to meet you all. Glad to see alot of my fellow Alaskans into trad archery and hunting. For those who posted and are not in Alaska I have this to say. Once an Alaskan always an Alaskan.(At least in spirit).

Sorry about  my extra post everyone. Dial up internet is acting funny. Kinda got to go with it living in the village here.

I'll be there the weekend of September 26 if any of you want to help me get some moose. I'll be in the Wasilla area.

Elmendorf AFB.  I'd never leave if the AF would let me stay.

Question then to the other Alaskans, who all is making bows?  Sure would be nice to have some bow making seminars close by:)

LKH

Jack Harrison makes bows here in Wasilla.

Mr. aklongbow,
Am just getting started on making a couple of selfbows and arrows for us.

Now what we need to do is get ourselfs organized and start a traditional bow organization here in Alaska.Unless someone knows there is already one here.

I think there is/was a Traditional Bowhunters club.  I'll ask around.  I think a bunch of guys in Eagle River shoot together.  Base it on some of my memory of the Rick Hinton discussions.

I went to a indoor 3d shoot at the Archers Den in Eagle River and I was suprised to see all the trad shooters. I think a lot of people are dropping the wheels in Alaska.

I am on my 6th selfbow, sure would like to meet with others to learn,  building by help from out of state TradGang members, books, internet and school of hard knocks.

I think they look and shoot good but not sure would like others to critique.

Juneau... I think I saw you shooting the other day Chuck were you the guy throwing 6 inch groups at 20 yards?

After 7 1/2 years in Juneau I just moved to DRY Moose Pass on the Kenai!

My wife and I are buying a house with a MONSTER shop about 3 miles south of the Sterling Highway junction on the Seward Highway.

I have a complete laminated bowbuilding shop.

Patrick,

I've tightened my groups up a bit since then! Was shooting in the league, but decided that shooting for score while others were shooting just for fun was not for me!

See you at the range.

Steve,

Sounds like a nice setup.

Wish I could move north. Still thinking about moving to the Wasilla area, but it looks like I'm stuck here for at least one more summer.

You sell your Juneau house yet?
Chuck
