A.S.

I finally broke down and ordered a new Silvertip recurve a few weeks ago. Just looking for pictures to get some ideas of different wood combos. I'm particularly interested in dark riser/lighter limb combos, but anything is welcome!

I know I have seen some beauties here in the past, just can't seem to find them.

Thanks,
Allen

Hey Allen, Beth emailed me a ton of pics showing a gazillion wood combos. I bet if you tell her what you'd like to see, she'll send you pics of everything Dave has done that is along the lines of what you're interested in.
On mine, I'm still thinking Charcoal Dymondwood, with Curly Maple veneers.

Allen, put some Cocobolo in there somewhere!!!  and antler limb bolts are required!,   you also must allow me to shoot it when it comes.   :readit:

Zane, I was wondering where you have been! As of now, I ordered Macassar Ebony riser with quilted maple limbs lightly stained to bring out the grain.

So many choices!

JimB

Not exactly what you are looking for but it is a Silvertip-Bocote riser and limbs.Whatever you decide on,you won't be dissapointed.

Yes, Beth e-mailed me a ton of combos as well.  I have ordered a charcoal dymondwood riser with Shedua limbs, Elk Horn knobs and rough sheephorn tips.  I also am having a scrimshaw inlay of a caribou in the riser. I still have about a 6 month wait!

Ben,
That's my favourite picture of Paul and Bart.
To me their expressions and body language  epitomised their mythical characters in this photo.
nice bow too.
