how about using two of the ones you narrowed it down to......... "Bow-Bear"

My kids called their two cats Boone and Crockett so the archery version would be POPE.

So you can say "Stick fetch" then throw a ball and confuse your mate's.

If it was a Poodle I'd say Flu-Flu.  But since it's an English Springer I'd have to go with Sherwood.

I saw the thread and hoped you weren't going to mention the type of dog.... I was going to suggest a teacup chihuahua named "Brace Height" - so you could tell folks it's what you use to setup your bow

Our Springer's name is Slick...not archery related, but get a lot of smiles when people here his name.....

Well, we got the pup Saturday. Looks like we went with joe-vt's idea and named the puppy:

"BowBear".

We were also thinking of BearBow, or BareBow, but BowBear just seemed to sound better.
