Yeah, I'm doing the survey as well.  Good way to keep track of your season if you like that kind of thing.

Over a month of season and no harvest pics!      

Thursday I'm hoping. Taking a day off work. Have taken 2 of my best bucks on Oct. 20......  :D

I'm working a lot of overtime this week and next and then it's go time for me.
I'll be hunting for 13 days straight starting next Saturday.

Have  week off starting Sat. We might be cold enoh to frost Fri.? Get rid of those dang chiggers. BUT then suppose to warm back up. Maybe I'll hunt the mornings. Lots of acorns this year,

Wish me luck boys. I haven't shot anything but a wheelie bow since before summer. In fact that's the only bow I had until a month back. Life really got in the way this year and I have barely practiced with a stick and string since February but, today I decided to really see how my new omega long bow shoots. Heck man I almost traded it for a deer rifle but, just couldn't at the last minute. So I scrounged around in my odds and ends today and found a couple of 2117 that fit her real nice, a strap on quiver, and a few tips. I found bare shafts flew nice with 150 upfront so a fletched those arrows up and it was just like riding a bike. I was tagging bullseyes at 20 easy. I was really jonesing to take this bow out now but, what about broad heads? Well I thought I surely had something in my tackle box and I was right. It was fate two vpa 150's to go with my two arrows. So tomorrow I am  gonna head out for a hunt. It will be later in the morning after I drop the kid off at school. Probably won't see much but, wish me luck boys.

Congrats!

So far only out three times so far but increasing activity every time. Lots of does around my stand and couple small bucks.
Thinking the bigger boys will be cruising through more in next couple weeks.

Heading Sunday morning to meet cousin at farm. Has some real nice deer around.  First time out there this season, looking forward to it.

It is a beautiful morning here.  I hope ya'll are enjoying the fall colors in your favorite woods.

Well I didn't see anything but turkeys this morning. Tonight should be different. I'm at the edge of a field where I had some does oh so close last weekend. The wind is good and I'm all settled in. I just checked a couple of cameras before I got in the stand. My wife is tickled right now. A buck she passed up last year showed back up and he's a stud now. Probably a 140 inch 7 pointer. I really hope she gets a chance at him.

I'm back where a nanny searched me out last week. Came in different route early and fixed the stand so it don't make that itty bitty clunk when you stand up. Will see how we get along tonite.

Not yet Pat. We have to work this week and then we will be off. We had a couple of great hunts this evening. I saw 13 deer, including a 4.5 year old 8 pointer and several does. Hannah had two 140 class bucks at 25 yards most of the evening sparring but never had a shot. She let a handful of does walk by within 15 yards because the bucks were there. She has been excited all evening after all of that.

I'm not sure he's gonna quite hit 140 but he will be pretty close. I'll post a picture after I swap cards out. He's a stud of a deer.
