So its been 4 years since my last deer. These last few years I have passed on small and young deer. This year I was determined to get a deer, not just a deer but a nice buck. As I sat in my stand today cold and feeling down I look up to see a nice buck walking straight to me. He stops 7 yards out facing my tree nise in the ground, no ****, I sit and wait and he turns, I pull back hit anchor and let fly...bit a small limb and stick the arrow in his hind end! He walks off seemingly unharmed. Now I feel very bad!

Kirk, that's what I'm thinking.  I'm not sure how it unfolds but I agree there's more to this story.

I'd never aim for it intentionally, but I've hit that femoral artery more than once and have yet to find a faster kill. Especially if you get that pass through and hit both sides of it.

Excited to hear the rest of this one.

Why in the world would you be Excited! To hear about a deer shot in the a$$. Yes it will kill a deer but not the kind of story's we need posted on here. IMO

There's other ways to write a thread without to much information and still get the point across. Sorry just a little grumpy I guess.

You really haven't hunted the old fashion way until you've done it from one of these Indian houses.(The Tipi) "Glenn ST. Charles"

OK I was literally falling asleep writing...as the deer walked away I hear that awesome crunch crunch sound to my right and here he comes a non typical 13 point with a palmated beam! I stop watching the "UN hurt" deer, settle down, renock just in time for the big boy to walk in front of me. He walks right up to where I shot the first one, sniffs and walks outta range...ugh! I say a sml prayer and he turns on his heals and comes right back broadside 20 yards. This time I nail it! Nick both lungs and the heart. I watch him run off wobble and continue down a ridge outta sight. By now I'm shaking so much I am afraid I might fall outta the stand! I wait 2 hours and my buddy shows up asking a million questions. How big? Which way? I'm in such a fog I say I dunno, I think the first is a 6 point the other is bigger. We go to the first deer hit spot and wow!...blood everywhere, no way! I'm amazed at the blood and my buddy says, hey there be is. I jump and sure enough 50 yards away! He crashed and that brought in the second deer! Then we trail the second 200 yards and find him pilled up...what a day. A 10 point typical and a 13 point non typical brusier. Both deer of a lifetime. Pinicale 2 riser TT limbs 57@30.5 Easton legacy 2219 with magnus ma1 for 10 point zwicky no mercy on big boy. I wanna post a pic but can't seem to get it, would love some help
