I am aready getting excited!
72high---I would be coming up you way, and would probably have room in the truck for you, if transport is a problem.
Hoping to leave the Fri before---come back whenever the boss says!  Probably be tent camping unless Snag says the trailer is a better idea.  If we shoot straight, I will cook up a batch of Schaffer Mtn. rabbit.

Dang!.....Can you do this again next year when I'm retired?
I'd love to.
Is it too late to be what I could have been?

snag

If we don't annihilate the whole population of rabbits...lol...we ought to do this as a "spring tradition" for the traditional archer!

Sadly, that is the weekend before our big family trip to Hawaii.  Otherwise I'd be in for sure!

I'll probably come up on the Thursday evening the 18th. If anyone needs a ride up let me know, I'll have room for one. Count me in.

Hey Frank,

It's a pretty good hike from Coos Bay.  I'm about two hours from you and if you can make it up to Eugene (well, just south of Eugene), you could hook a ride with us the rest of the way.  Keep in touch as the dates get closer.

Basic Instinct

Well , I will have to go out early and check out the rabbit pop, I quess. The place I have in mind is about 45 min from town. We can go any direction out there. I Can try to get my wife to make a huge Elk stew or Chili!!

I've got it on the calendar. Sounds like fun.

snag

How about some dutch oven cooking? I can make a pretty good stew. Potluck?

Is there plenty of places to camp? Are we talkin public or private land? Im into it, always looking for a good reason to carry my bow.

AndyTheCornbread

OK if I can get my oldest to come along I think I'll make the drive even though it's a long one. Is there a place to camp already picked out?

Basic Instinct

I Know of several places to camp, I will see for sure how many we have coming when it gets closer and then  find a suitable spot based on head count, All public ground. I can get some firewood, if most bring a few pcs we will have plenty for the campfire

hey, all you norcal guys--how `bout we try to meet at the Black Bear Diner in Susanville and convoy up from there?  I'll bring some wood as well.  We're gonna have a blast!  What about water, do we need to bring a few gallons with us?

Angus

Sorry, Snag-didn't see your post on the black pots: you bring yours, I'll bring mine.  I used to guide trout parties, so I'll bring along some "specalities de la maison".  I find this sort of stuff to be great fun.  May I propose we all bring a tux t-shirt along for the banquet?
