Roadkill, The F&W said a License is required to hunt anything in Oregon. I do not know if they offer a 3 day type deal or not. Hope you guys can make it.

It is sounding like a great gathering of bowmen. Like it!

I'll see if I can talk Mr. Moose (my 6`5" son) into wandering up from northern CA, with me.  It would be great to actually meet other Tradgangers!  how much single malt do you figure we need?

How does everyone like a date in April?? Might need to narrow down a date around the first of yr, so some can get off time in need be. I have to let my job know quite a while in advance.

I will check the dates.  If they work I am in.  I know 3 others that would tag along.

Snag---I am interested---about a 5 hour drive for me.  I will need to request the days of way a head of time, but usually I am able to get my requested days off.  I hunted elk up in northeastern OR this last fall and saw a good number of cottontails up there--one that was pushed by my partner jumped off a ledge and nearly took my head off.  And yes, there is just as much air around an OR bunny as there is around a CA jack.

Amazing who would of thought that, Yolla Bolly. I look forward to getting out and shooting with you guys!

Lakeview Oregon, Very south East border of Oregon. 140 miles south Of Burns Oregon  Jack rabbits a plenty, there are a few Cottontails, but sure rocky where they hang. Might be able to swing a little coyote calling. It would be great to shoot with all of you fellows!!
I was hunting around Steens Mountain last year. "Jack rabbits a plenty" hardly does justice in describing how many jacks can be found in Eastern Oregon. The things were everywhere. Just driving down the roads on any given night we'd hit two are three of those critters (swerving to avoid hitting them can be dangerous so we just got used to the fact that running over rabbits couldn't be avoided). I'd absolutely love to bring my beagle down there someday - he'd absolutely be in beagle heaven.
