Bear hair, leather, Velcro turkey feather. What rest do you use on your bow and why?
I'm looking for the best.
Ready set go.
Nothing clears a troubled mind like shooting a bow.

I normally use Velcro its easy on easy off. Plus you can get alot of rests and side plate out of a roll.

Velcro industrial strength for off the shelf, springy for ILF with a fixed crawl, plunger and t-300 or off shelf for ILF three under.

I try not to let my mind wander...It is too small and fragile to be out by itself.

I like a bear stick on. simple, durable, and forgiving.

The fuzzy side of velcro goes on the shelf of all my bows!

I like hair rests. My Hill bows have leather. But the fuzzy part of velcro is great! It lasts forever and a few bucks at wal mart or hobby shop will get you a bunch of it.

Velcro once the original leather wears out.

You did not say what kind of bow you are putting it on. For recurves I like either a feather rest or a Hoyt hunter rest. For a longbow a simple leather rest works great but I am going to try a feather rest on my next longbow. The best,is a matter of opinion so try them all and have fun and form your own opinion.

Leather.  The riser I put a paper match under for clearance.  Held down with Barge Cement.

Velcro on a shelf rest, but if you want the very best arrow flight go to a raised rest. I prefer a bear weather rest for that.

I don't like velcro at all.

Shooting a R/D Longbow -- I use a piece of smooth leather from an old wallet with a split bamboo skewer underneath as a bump. I used to use the fuzzy side of velcro, but it wears out faster than leather and also would get quills from my arrow or other debris stuck in it. I noticed with velcro and rug rests, as they would wear down, your relative knock point would go up. Doesn't happen with leather.
