60.....probably doesn't qualify for a longbow but it's my favorite bo that is not a recurve and my preferred hunting weapon

Well I can't help think it depends on which bow (design)... never really shot any "mild" r/d longbows. Have had some more "aggressive" r/d's, and I seem to like a 60" bow overall.

My wife's Whip (a little less r/d than my bows are/have been), a 62"". Sure would like to try that bow in a 64".

I draw 27.5, give or take a little. Voted 60", just because that's what suits me best for the r/d's I've shot.

I like my 56" R/D like my Elkheart thunder children and shrews

I have a 60" Centaur Triple Carbon Elite I like but I shot a 56" Java Man Elkheart yesterday that was very nice even at my 29" draw

BowMIke

My favorite longbow is a Morrison Shawnee. I have limbs from 56" to 62". I seem to like the 62" better than all the other lengths. They just seem the smoothest for me.(even though my draw length is 27" at most).

gotta go with 64" although I have hunted with a few 66" bows and they shoot great, but I found that at my a little less than 28" draw a 64 will do anything a 66 will and be a little more compact. and I can put a 64" on my boot tip and it makes a great monopod for my binos
