Congratulations Kenny!! Glad to see you are doing a little herd control.

It's eatin' me up that the season is dwindling away and I'm still hurtin too much to go out. Better, but still hurtin.

"THAT" my friends is how it's done. Build the bow, then go out and harvest with it. Just plain ole cool in an old school way.

Congratulations Kenny. She really crossed a lot of real estate on her final run.

The grip on that recurve you brought into camp was very nice, did you put that same kind of grip on this bow?

Thanks guys!!

Charlie, hope you get to feeling better!!

Tom, very similar grip, maybe not as much meat down low, I have a pretty fat hand and think it torques the bow at the shot with the heel of my hand. So I skinnied it up a little down low.

The doe surprised me, she passed up several good places to lay down and just kept going as far as she could. It was 20 mph wind, maybe she was nervous to start with?

Was glad I let her go for an hour and a half anyway, she might have gone farther yet, and she didn't make it to the 20 feet deep creek by 100 yds!
Stay sharp, Kenny.

Congrats on the deer! This is making the urge to try bow building even stronger! It's so awesome that you built a great bow and killed a deer on your first time out with it.

DEATHMASTER

That is a great way to start the new year with nice meat for the freezer

That's an awesome way to start the new year.
