Impatiently, with restraint.  Is it here yet, is it here yet!!!!!!

My widow should be shipping this week or next I believe.  The wait has been tough but almost to the promised land.

Happy new year!

I have a rocking chair on the front porch and I just sit there patiently, watching for the UPS truck.

I always have a bow to shoot while I wait for my next one.  However after getting my VyperKhan longbow a long, long time ago I have not had a desire for a new one.  That is a first for me as I had never gone more than three years without a new bow.

It will be June before my next one is finished by then I will have forgotten about it until it arrives in the mail!

Be patient Grasshopper.  Just occupy your time with something else.  Don't wish your life away, for sure.

Buy a Toelke.  Dan usually ships in less than 6 weeks without a long wait.  I've got a new Chinook on order and just block it from my mine.  Wait...is that the UPS truck outside.  Gotta go.

I just shoot my favorite bow on hand and try and forget that I even have another bow on order. It gets tough if I really get to thinking about a new one and when the bowyers going to call.

The one custom bow I've ever ordered came in March of last year.  I only had to wait about 4 weeks for it, but I made sure I kept my other bow around until the new bow came.

I have no idea.  I just ordered a Kingfisher from Chad Holm, and I'm already chomping at the bit to see it and shoot it.  Although, I'm talking about a wait of weeks not months.  I can't imagine what a months long wait would be like.

I like to order from Howard Hill Archery--never had to wait more than 3 weeks.  I can stand that for the most part.    :D

I've been waiting quite a while now for an RER LXR that I will pick up at the Trad Expo in Kalamazoo the end of this month.

No problem. I go hunting to take my mind off the wait   :)

I have never ordered a bow. Buy from stock or buy used. Only bought one new recurve and it was on Hummingbirds rack at ATAR. There are a HUGE number of used bows out there, and the money saved amounts to about half of the new price.Just one opinion, Thanks, Roy
Maybe it is time to shoot what I have on the rack

Chromebuck

Just keep calling the bowyer every week until he decides to do your build now so you quite bothering him.

Really, the longest I've ever waited was one year for a Jack Kempf and it's pretty amazing how fast a year goes by anymore.  Like others have said, don't obsess about it and just focus on other things.  Of course every bow I've had built I usually incorporated several changes by time the build notification arrived.

On my wait I just bought another (Liberty), that took far less time. Had em both show up in the same week. The wife was a little confused on that one.

Longest wait for me is for my Allegheny Mountain.  Paid in full.  Then he goes out of business.  Still waiting for most of my refund....

I guess Im in the minority, im just not going to order a bow that has a 10 month or more wait time, so much can change for me in a years period, I have a couple widows I waited 8 weeks on one and bought the other off the rack at Nixa so no wait on that one, I am totally happy with the bows i have, I cant imagine waiting 2 years on a bow..........

The waiting for me is a bit difficult for the first few days. After that I simply forget about the bow. I waited about 10 months for a Schafer, 10 months for a Rose Oak, and 15 months for a Snakebit. I waited 25 months for a Habu.

Ironically, I ended up buying another fellow's brand new Habu about 2 months before my name came up (the 25 month wait). I didn't go ahead with my order -- I didn't need two of em.

I'm in the hopper for another Rose Oak which I hope will come up in February, March, or April.

For me wait times have been really close to right on the money.

I've had several new bows over the last twenty years, longest wait was a 59R from John McCullough, a little over four years.
When he called I could barely remember ordering it.
Have had six or seven new Blacktails, learned when I receive one to order another, the year goes by quicker that way.
