I must be impatient. Ordered a widow 2 weeks ago, can't hardly stand the wait, lol. Buying a used bow and waiting a few days is bad enough for me. Luckily the wait for a widow is relatively short, 7-9 weeks. How do some of you guys wait for months on end for a custom? Or even a year or more? Oh the agony....this is my 1st time ordering a bow, by the way. Will the wait, for my next one, be any easier?

wooddamon1

Don't know about those customs, but my last bow came pretty fast. Thanks again Paul. Hunted most of the season with it.    :knothead:

Don't wait-forget about it and let the appearance happen as a surprise. I woulda' 'waited' for four years a while back and chose to forget completely instead. Worked great!

Lol, I waited 22 months for my last one! I try to forget about it.

I have a Toelke Whip coming. He had it done in a little over 4 weeks and it should be on its way to my house now. This last week is killing me!

That's great Damon. I seen a pic you posted, of you and the super grizz awhile back and was wondering how the bow was working out for ya.

Burnsie

I have several other customs to shoot during the wait.  I don't mind the wait, I use the time to make installment payments and have it paid off by the time it is complete.

I have only ordered one new bow and it was at my house I think 14 days after I ordered it. Dan Toelke is hard to beat!

I just ordered a Stalker  :bigsmyl:   stickbow and the 6-8 weeks is killing me.  But it's worth the wait.  I'm not sure I could wait   :banghead:  12-24 months  :archer2:

I am waiting for a custom Fedora bow.
It's easy there's nothing you can do.
I did order some new arrows thou.

Use the time wisely, and prepare for the new arrival. Make sure that your arrows are picked out and prepped for tuning, new targets, broadheads, tabs/gloves broken in, and work on your form, so that when it shows up, it'll only take you a day or two to be shooting broadheads accurately. The wait is agonizing, but there is always something to do to keep you occupied. Good luck. I feel your pain. Enjoy the new bow, and post some pictures of her when she arrives!

I am comitted to being a one bow one James Berry Morningstar hunter. Now, if I don't get that bow by turkey season, I am not going turkey hunting. I am going crappie fishing instead. If our woods gets overrun with an overpopulation of turkeys, it will be James's fault not mine. If that bow is not here by Memorial Day, I am going to load up my canoe and take my wife lake trout fishing in the BWCA. It will be here by the 4th of July, so I won't have to go watch fire works. I hate all of that stinky noise.

I waited 28 months for a 12 month bow. To ease the pain I bought a used one and shot it for a year and a half. By the time my custom arrived I was PO'd to the point I didn't really want it anymore. The bow was everything I ordered but it certainly was not worth the wait.

A few years have passed now, I got over it (sort of), and I can shoot my new bow better than any bow I ever touched. Lesson learned.

I ordered another Kota in June, have not heard anything yet. I think the waiting gets easier the more you do it. If I didn't have other bows that would increase my eagerness.

britt

I had to wait 10 months for a bow. My last bow, Heart Land Bow was about 7 weeks.

Don't think about it. I know it's hard . I waited like 7 months I got on the list in april and my build came up at the end of october and i got it first week of december.I knew I would not have it for this past season but it really gave me something to look forward too when the seasons over which is usually kind of depressing .  I did manage to get in two hunts with it but now I have something to inspire me for next season.
It will come soon enough. Patience is a virtue all us bow hunters posses.

Bjorn

Best not to ask 'how long' or don't listen if the bowyer tells you and definitely don't write it down. It will either be early or late anyway so what difference does it make. If you think you know 'when' you are just going to be disappointed.   :banghead:

Until you wait for a Habu you don't know wait times.....worth it in the end!
