Jim,I think Shawn Leonard hit it. You gotta make a riser to boot. But,think about how awesome a full blown ILF Centaur could be! Carbon/Foam core,Bamboo/veneered beautys, and some crazy off the hook riser that is like nothing else out there. Sounds purty cool. rat'
Make certain your exhausted when you reach them Pearly Gates.

Jim, you definetly need to build a riser to go with the limbs....I'd be interested...!!   Jr.

I don't know where some guys come up with this stuff.  ILF/HDS is nothing new.  Do you have any idea when it was developed?

Froggy

I feel sure Jim will make the right choice for him and his business.

Froggy is a fine fellow & friend. I consider his input valid as any other. In fact, I've tried ILF off and on for a while and even though I see its merits, it's just not for me ... for reasons not dissimilar to Lanier's. Only he had the where-with-all to say it.

To the point, ILF is wildly popular right now as is Centaur bows. Sounds like a good mating from a business perspective. I'm sure anything Jim turns out will be top notch making that infamous list even longer. Hiring on a good assistant might make it easier but that also has it's pitfalls. Just my $.02.
Do or do not ... there is no "try"

Thanks guys, I appreciate your feedback. ILF limbs from Centaur should be available within the next few weeks.

Sounds like there's something to look forward to in the coming week! Great job Jim!
Truth to be told, I guess there's quite a few of us who'd be thoroughly blow away if you'd come up with a compatible riser to match! I simply love the grip shape and grooves on the triple carbon. I bet it'd look radical if made into a 3pc takedown riser!

Hey Jim,
Make sure you get the DAS bushings as well.  Your limbs would mate up well with the 15"DAS riser.

I would like to see you make ILF limbs. I switched to ILF about 2 years ago and may never go back. But, if you start making ILF one factor is price. If you plan to compete with the US limb makers, you have a chance for success. But it will be hard to match or beat the prices of the overseas manufacturers. A person can buy a set of limbs made in Korea for about 1/3 of the price being charged by US bow makers. Yes, people will tell you they only buy made in USA (as they walk out of Wal-Mart with a cart full of made in China stuff), yes those others limbs are not custom wood laminations, but many ILF shooters do not care about wood lams and care more about how the limbs shoot and price than the custom woods. As far as I am concerned, the more people making them the better, I like choices.

Don't feel bad Froggy! I feel the same way! I love my centuars and as long as he keeps making them I am happy!! Can't wait to see what Jim comes up with next to evolve the centaur longbows!
The man who thinks he can and the man who thinks he can't are both right!!!

Froggy

  Jamie.... He sure makes a fine longbow.

Froggy, go back up your tree! Actually I appreciate you giving your opinion as well as everyone else. After all that is what Jim asked for.

Jwilliam

Sure it will be another top end product by Jim Neaves.

-what about lengths. Will you have a short, medium, and long size for a 58, 60, and 62 inch length bow on a standard 17" riser?

Really looking forward to these.

Jim Neaves

I will offer the standard lengths and also an extra long.

Big Sneaky

Jim, will you have an idea of what ILF risers will work the best?  I think some of the ILF risers might vary in limb pad angle.
Always keep the wind in your face, and an arrow nocked.

S. Brant Osborn

Yep, threre are some variances in pad angle from manufacturers.

Jim Neaves

I do not know which risers will work best until I know what all of the angles are for the various risers. Still in the r and d phase right now but am moving forward so I can make them available in the near future.
