I have never had an issue until recently. I did up some arrows for hunting this season. Went into my shop in my basement today and saw that there was at least two feathers over halfway loose on each arrow. Glad i saw that before I headed out to hunt. I used bohning tape that was purchased less than a year ago. Cleaned shafts with denatured alcohol. The tape was stuck to the feathers and not the shaft. Anyway, not to take any chances I re-did them with Loctite super glue gel. No more tape for me.

Looks to me like Bohning had a bad batch of tape here. This has happened to too many guys that know what they are doing.

The fulfillment of your hunt is determined by the amount of effort you put into it  >>>---->

It could have been on the shelf too long

Try setting it with a hair dryer.
After fletched heat shaft with hair dryer (careful not to melt cap wrap if applicable)
Also hair dryers get hot at close distances so watch those feathers.
Best to keep it moving.
The heat will soften the glue enough to adhere better after cool down.

Don't use Acetone if you have wraps.  Use alcohol.

Tape has worked perfectly for me. Probably the tape is too old?
