Something is a miss this year as far as the auction goes.

Seems like there's not much interest, excitement, or anticipation at all.  We are way behind on listings, and there's no chatter or banter about it this at all this year.

Guys n Gals....remember, this isn't about the site, or the members, or our trad bowhunting community....this is about helping sick kids.

Any ideas on how to 'rally the troops'?

Sorry, no ideas but I'm looking forward to it.

I have not read anything on the cake wars yet  :(

I'm looking forward to participating as a bidder/buyer!

This is an awesome event in my opinion!

The economy may have a lot of us down, but not out  :)   With this great bunch of folks here, I'm sure that some good will get done!!  :)
Have a nice day!

Seems that way this year Terry. It seems as there are a lot of new folks here who for one reason or another don't understand what this is all about. One thing I've noticed this year is there are no "big names" jawing back and forth at one another. When regular guys can fraternise with their hero's or guys they have only read about, it seems to take it up a notch   :)

This is my first year and am glad to put a item up for auctioning and I am looking forward to it. Don't know what the other years were like but I will see if I can help out with some more items if you need it. Just let me know!

The economy has put a dark cloud over a lot of folks. And I think it keeps them from being able to focus on anything but the family financial needs.

Hopefully it will start to change and guys and gals will get involved.

Even small donations and bids will go a long way to helping the kids of St. Jude.

There are some Outstanding listings, this is gonna be a good one for sure...

I noticed far fewer listings as well, but like Gator said....there are some really nice items in there and I'm saving my coins in hopes of helping the kids at St. Judes.

I cannot speak for anyone else but my family's current financial status has resulted in the deletion of anything extra spending including charitable donations to our church and programs like St. Jude's.

I have cut out any extra driving to local shoots and even going hunting.  Our situation will turn around but we need to watch every expenditure.

I have not looked at the auction so it is not painful.

I wish good luck to all my Brothers. I wish a nice proceeds to St Judes.

Even though I will not be spending, I have listed items for auction.

Cheers

Thanks for the kick in the butt Terry, I will have an item listen tomorrow. Do it for the kids !!

Maybe if there are fewer items in the auction this year, they will just bring highter prices and the kids still win.  I am looking forward to it, and am saving my pennies...

Was thinking the same thing Terry.  Don't know what it is

I'll be the 1st to admit that I am off my game and for that I am sorry!

I did what I could with donations but I doubt I'll be able to do much bidding this year.

I think the economy has everyone a bit careful on committing to spend any cash...even the on classifieds, bows that 2 years ago would have been gone in an hour are on for weeks. I'll try to do my part for the kids when it gets going but not everyone have "extra" money to play with!

I'm willing if you want my hunt this year. I will send you an e-mail

Terry I have not looked at it seriously as I thought being one of the members in Australia it would not be open to us because of freight & payment issues. If you accepted PayPal I would look at some of the items there. We have not been affected as bad as a lot of other places by the current financial situation & our dollar has been as high as I can remember it in the forty years I have been alive this has led me to buy a bit of gear from the US in the last 12 months including paying for a new Sasquatch td in full a couple of months ago when our dollar was worth $1.07us now I just have to wait for it . Our dollar use to give us about 75c us just a few years ago. that's a big difference when you have to pay freight as well.

huntmaster80

Prob the current economy putting the pinch on folks,  I am gona try to get something up for auction.
