Once again, thank you very much for the warm welcome.

Okie man, the Bama Hunter is a straight limbed flatbow, so I guess it does qualify as a Hill style bow. It was a toss-up between the Hill and the Bama but I decided to go with the Bama first but there will be a Hill in my future. That little booklet that Hill Archery sends out has been residing on my bedside table for over a year now and it's difficult to ignore. Another Hill style bow, I would like to get is that made by Jeff Challacombe of Australia. He no longer makes them on a commercial basis but I have requested him to let me know if ever he decides to build one.

BTW, I have been reading the HH thread for many months and like you, check it out on an almost daily basis. Eagerly looking forward to Ron's ShrewHill.

Cheers!

South MS, irrespective of cultures, boys will always be boys and their toys and interests are usually the same.   :D  However, I find it very strange that archery isn't live and kicking in my country despite its rich and varied archery heritage. From the responses to this thread, it appears that I am the first bloke to sign up from India.

Thanks for the welcome fellas and I am only too happy to be here.

Thanks for the welcome. A couple of friends have some native bows from the surrounding areas. I will photograph them and post the pics when I meet them next. However, here's one of a bow that is used to shoot baked clay balls. Haven't tried one but I am told it's quite effective against small game.

Thanks for the welcome. I don't have any hunting pics barring old one's but those are all firearm related. The only current pics I have of the surrounding areas are those taken when I go fishing.
