Passed on a few small buck early on, but it has been slim pickens since then. My wife informed me that we were low on red meat, and she start butchering some our goats.  Fortunately this doe gave me a shot, so crisis averted for now.

It was my first kill using a cutthroat broadhead.  I didn't hit anything hard, so I didn't give it much of a test.  Stuck in the ground on the other side of the deer after passing through. It is already re-sharpened, the arrow cleaned off, fleching dry, and back in the quiver.

Thanks guys.  Robert, I normally shoot that wrong-handed bow a little better than this.  Not my best shot.  A little high and back, but it was quartering away and I got part of both lungs.  I saw the doe go down in 50.  Always happy to not have to track after dark.

You've passed on some nice ones buddy, Ive got to hand it to you

pdk25

Well, I sometimes get to see them again.  This one I passed on last year is alot better now.

And still pretty young, with some growing to do.  Doubt if I will pass him up this year if I see him, though.

Here is another that didn't get shot last year, but that is only because I didn't have a shot until 1 week after season closed.
