I know a lot of you are way ahead of me on the use of these phones but I'm just starting to get use to this machine. I think it's pretty neat to be sitting here in my blind hunting and be able to access TG. Who said you can't teach an old dog new tricks.        :bigsmyl:

I'm an old dog too! I really like accessing TG from my stand.

Not only that, it also doubles as a telephone!

It's nice to be able to text your buddy, or play a game to pass the time when nothing is happening too!

Just be mindful of your data usage and your phone plan or that could be some real expensive entertainment Ron.... Every time you load a new page, especially with photos, your data meter is running....

I use the Kindle app on mine and download books at home via WiFi and read a lot when sitting on a stand.

I also started using a GPS tracker app on mine too, and that is pretty cool..... but it uses a lot of battery. I finally picked up an extra battery for my phone that i can charge in my rig at night, and have a spare in my pack.

I remember some years ago, Gene Wendel ask me how to post pictures. After I explained to him how to do it he ask, " right click? What's that?"

I use it for that about twice a year.

From one seasoned bow hunter to another, I too, drug my feet into the world of smart phones. Just the name for them was a bit repelling. Kind like they were elitists among phones. But as I sit in our woodsy cabin my voice directs the words upon the screen...and this smarty phone is sending by Bluetooth (which doesn't sound very healthy at all) to a speaker playing music of our choosing. On and on it goes.

Data? Kind like "data fancy phone you got there"....?

The only problem I have with accessing TG on my phone is that I can't see it without my glasses, but I can't shoot my bow worth a hoot with glasses.    :banghead:

Works okay in my blind though so I can just take my glasses off and lay them down. Don't really want to risk dropping them out of a tree stand.
