Taking thurs and fri off this week to hunt turkeys and deer. My goal for this year is to shoot a smaller deer first. I want to get the hang of skinning it and de-boning the meat in the field. Then come home and take my time cleaning & cutting it up. Good Luck Everyone!

Got a good hard frost today and expecting the same for the next few days. This should kill off the remaining skeeters and knock down the ferns. Looking like we will have a good first week of bow season here in the U.P. Good luck to my fellow Michigan bow benders. Love this time of year, #44 for me with the stickbow.

I'm working tomorrow, but my daughter has the day off...how's that work???? Got her tent set up and a few does on camera for her. I'm more excited for her than me going out....even if she does use a wheelie bow. Hope she shows the old man up. Good luck to everyone tomorrow, and be safe.
