I got a new Flatwoods Custom R/D longbow back in the spring.  64", 47#@28".  Sweet shooting bow.  Shooting some of the long discontinued ACC small diameter carbons from late 80s or early 90s, 60-70# spined, with 190 Simmons Interceptors.

I also just traded for a '66 Kodiak, 60", 55#@28".  It'll be in my #2 slot with 60-70# Carbon Express Wolverines weighted with para cord and tipped with 150 screw in Bear Razorheads.

Maybe.  I've been very happy with my Blacktail.  But I shot a Tall Tine in bear camp and had to have one. It's 55@28 and 60" long. So maybe I'll have two go to!

But it is hard to have a go to unless you have already went... And proven it, right?

I'm hunting this season with a Don Dow stik. 58" 50@28. They are really great bows, can't beat em for the price. I may order another from Rich sometime, right now I have my eyes on a new 59 Kodiak.

I was fortunate to find a pristine Ron Maulding Bighorn Longbow this spring. She is a bit stouter than any of my other bows, but draws and shoots so nicely that I worked up to it in no time. The specs are; 70" 72#@28" with about an inch of back set, and a straight grip. Best of luck to all.
