Just returned from a successful Wyoming mule deer hunt. Tough hunt this year due to very warm days and clear full moon nights, all added up to very little daytime deer movement. We passed up a couple of small bucks the first days of the hunt. The does seemed to be moving around and would have had many opportunities with them but the bucks became scarce. Lots of miles and boot leather were expended to try and locate deer activity. Late in the hunt we caught a break when a couple of weather systems moved through which seemed to create a slight up-tick in deer movement. On the second to last day a fork horn and this 3x3 fed past my position and I was able to get a shot at the larger buck.

For those interested in the details I was using my Border Black Douglas at 52lbs. My arrows were Traditional Only 400 spine carbon shafts tipped with 3 blade Snuffer SS broadheads. Total arrow weight is right at 490 grs.

Congrats Dale,  did much better than me.  Saw a lot of does, fawn, and spikes. Finally saw a group of nine with two nice 5x5's the last morning, but the group decided to head up a draw on private land instead of up our public land draw. Our group was hunting west of Kaycee. Like you said, the warm temps suppressed movement for much of the hunt.

Thanks Taxyman for helping me out with the picture posting. Don't they know us old trad guys can't figure this high tech crap out.
