Who makes a good longbow with a  pistol grip locator in either one or two pieces?
Ken Thornhill

George Vernon

Cari-bow, Liberty, Fox, Wallace, EagleWing, A&H, Trinity, and many others.  Check out the sponsors listings.

kat

I am not sure how to describe it. I am looking for a longbow with a grip like a medium recurve grip.

I'm not sure whether this link will work or not but give it a try.... if not.... go to my website and click on the discription " Flatliner Logbow" then click on the highlighted text "Traditional riser" or "Reflex Riser"  that will give you details.

Huron Longbows -owner Terry Folts makes an awesome 3pc takedown longbow with a recurve style grip!
For God was in Christ, reconciling the world to himself, no longer counting people's sins against them. And he gave us this wonderful message of reconciliation.

I also have a hybrid longbow that has a custom grip option.

See the TD Sasquatch Long bow, and then refer to the riser design page....

This is brand new.... The Sasquatch SS is a static tip recurve, and i have just come out with long bow limbs that fit on the same riser.

21st century use to, called the "Buddy Grip" don't know if Milton is still carrying this on or not.

LOVE the grip on my Cari-bow!  Check out Abe's site.

Ken,
Go to Ron King's web site and look at the
Triple Crown. His site is Fox Archery.com.
I really liked my T/C because of the feature you are asking about. I sold mine because of the weight, but what a gorgeous bow he builds.

Check out Stalker Stickbows. I believe South makes what you're looking for as well.

I'm another who would suggest Fox Archery. Ron Builds a great bow.

I could recommend Bodnik (Bearpaw) bows, like the Cayuga, but I know most of you guys from the US want to buy US made. That I give you credit for. Wish customs and shipping where a little cheaper... I would buy a Bigfoot Flatliner for sure!

Check out NewWood longbows. They are a sponsor here. Their VanGuard model is like you describe.

Just for interests sake what do you think a longbow with a recurve style riser will do better than a recurve will...I second the Fox Archery idea but I would take a serious look at the Maverick...mine is very fast and as quiet as any longbow with the correct string on it

DDave
I set out a while ago to reduce my herd of 40 bows...And I am finally down to 42

kat

DDave-I DON'T think a longbow with a recurve style riser will do better than a recurve will.

The problem is that I.B.O. doesn't let you shoot a recurve in the longbow division.

Beachbowhunter- Yup. just like that.
