Hey all,

I'm looking for anyone that hunts Sam Houston National Forest in SE Texas.  If not that one, how about other WMA's that are within 2-3 hours of Houston?

I'd like to get some advice from you, if you don't care.

Thanks

Nalajr

Not to high jack your thread, but does anybody know what WMA's have the best axis deer population? I went to southern TX last year and shot one, and WOW! What a tasty deer! The guy I went through past away shortly after my trip, so I'm on the hunt for a new spot again.

Hunt Granger couple times a year. Not sure if it's a WMA or just public hunting land now that Corps of Engineers does not manage it.
